Skincare myths debunked!

1. You need an advanced skin care routine

No... Less is more – almost always! This is even more true if you use too many products, this will cause sensitive or dry skin, which may cause even more problems. Disrupting the skins natural moisturising and cell processes requires LESS products. Everyone is different, try cleansing one time a day.

2. Coconut oil is good for your skin

Coconut oils is not good on your skin at all. We all know that coconut oil is popular, the problem is that coconut oil blocks your pores. Similar oils that are OK to use are mineral oils and non sulfated jojoba oils.

3. Pores has the ability to open and close

Not true. When using steaming or warm water to “open” the pores, your cells no the pore’s surface loosens up, making the pore more visible.

In regard to “closing” the pores, there are products that help reduce the visibility of your pores, like forms of vitamin A and similar products. We would recommend products from Curology in this regard. Yet, there are no products that will close your pores.
